Buttonwood Bay

Check in process is scary. An envelope is left in an unattended case that anyone can access. Ours was not there. This was booked through Airbnb. We tried to contact the "host," which is just the property manager we guess. No response, so we had to reach out to Airbnb support. It still took over an hour to get someone to help us. A housekeeper was sent to give us a key to a manufactured home. According to the post, we were supposed to get a certain home. That's not the one we were given. When we got there, the home had not been cleaned. We went back to the housekeeper who gave us 2 more keys for 2 more units. We chose one that was the best of the two. Next to no amenities, it's really old and falling apart, the bed is terrible, and there were not enough furnishings to sleep 4. We only had 2, but if we would have had more, there would not have been enough. We still were not given the packet that we were supposed to get. Not sure what was in the packet but assumed it was entry to pool, check out process, and other information about the park. It was a holiday, but we expected someone to meet up with us on Tuesday. Nope! On Airbnb we got a message to just leave the keys in the unit or take them to the office. No instructions on garbage, towels, or anything else. Very poor way to do business. The resort itself was fine. We did not get to use the amenities in the park other than the mini golf because we didn't know the policies. Will not be staying again or recommending to anyone else either.

Love, love this place. I stayed here for 4 nights and met so many friendly people. They have two heated pools, lake I’d gorgeous. They have lots of activities like Thai Chi, aerobics, line dancing, card games a billiard room and so much more. My first night there while walking around there was a group of people having a party I spoke to them they invited me to eat and drink with them so I did. It was a great time. The park is well kept and people are so friendly.
